Help us enforce Farnham’s HGV ban!
The ban on heavy goods vehicles on roads in and around Farnham is being widely ignored, thanks to lack of enforcement.

SCC must act before someone gets seriously hurt, says the Labour action team
While our town’s volunteer observers are making valiant efforts to report lorries contravening the ban, what is needed is automatic enforcement by closed circuit TV (CCTV) which would work 24 hours a day.
Anyone can report a lorry ignoring the ban using the online form on the Surrey County Council website.
The Council says that that the areas that send in the most reports will have the greatest need for the CCTV cameras so will be more likely to get them installed.
So, let’s get reporting!
The roads are:
- Weybourne and Badshot Lea: Low Lane, St. George’s Road, Lower Weybourne Lane and Upper Weybourne Lane.
- Upper Hale: Odiham Road, Upper Hale Road and Folly Hill
- Farnham town centre: Castle Hill and Castle Street
Go to ‘HGV watch’ on the Surrey County Council website. The minimum info you need is the location (from the drop down menu), your email address, date, time, HGV registration, and if possible the branding on the lorry. You must also attach a photo.
Let’s get reporting and make Farnham’s bid for CCTV automatic enforcement a reality.
